Baumann Automation has published a current status information on the Coronavirus.

Dear business partners,


The coronavirus is currently shaking up the entire global economy and testing us all. It is therefore important to show common strength through joint and partnership-based action in order to meet this challenge.

The Baumann team has implemented many measures in recent weeks with the aim of protecting the health of our customers, suppliers and employees in the best possible way, and of maintaining productivity and quality in the handling of our projects.

Measures taken by our employees: we have created home office workplaces for more than 200 employees from the development and administration departments to enable the design and OFF-line programming of the systems from home and to ensure commercial processing. We have implemented organisational measures throughout the company, such as shift work, extended meeting regulations and physical separation of employees. We observe the recommended measures of the RKI (Robert Koch Institute) for reducing physical contact and hygiene in order to reduce the risk of infection as much as possible.

Measures taken by our business partners: we have been working with our customers and partners digitally for some time now. Many things have already been clarified in the past via online meetings. We have further extended this option to limit personal visits to exceptional cases.

Measures taken by our suppliers: our long-standing suppliers have, like us, taken various measures. We are in constant communication with them about the current delivery and supply situation in order to secure all parts deliveries for our projects.

The Baumann service hotline works remotely from various locations. This means that you can reach expert contact persons in every event. In the event of a plant malfunction, we can respond from Amberg by remote service or through our branches in China, Romania and Mexico, as well as through our worldwide service partners. They have taken extensive measures, tailored to your country-specific requirements, to maintain and secure the ability to respond on site.

Needless to say, we can also ensure that you can reach your contact person from our technical sales department under the known telephone numbers and by email.

We are aware that the current situation is bringing usual routines and processes into disorder. Nevertheless, we are sure that, together with you, we will find the right solutions for the challenges that lie ahead.
